# What is the Export Functionality in Contact List Building?

## RampedUp provides the functionality to limit the list size, the number of people returned by company, and email validation upon download.

Once you have refined your list by the criteria important to you, there are additional options before exporting to CSV. Firstly, you must name the list you want downloaded.  This will help you identify it in the [VIEW DOWNLOADS](https://basic.rampedup.io/app/leadpeoplecsvdownload) section of the application once the list is complete. You will also receive an email from contact@rampedup.io directing you to the [VIEW DOWNLOADS](https://basic.rampedup.io/app/leadpeoplecsvdownload) section once the list is complete. But there are a few more options available: 

 

**Validate Emails** - By selecting this box, RampedUp will validate the professional email addresses again.  If an email address is found to be INVALID, we will remove it from the CSV and you will not be decremented a credit for the record. 

 

**Limit Per Company** - You may limit the number of people who work at a company by providing the number of people in this field.  There is no functionality that orders the job titles and this functionality applies only to companies with a website in our database. 

**Limit Per List** - You may limit the number of records returned in the list by providing the number of people in this field.

**Save Search** - This will save the search criteria by selecting the box and we will use the name of the list as the name of the saved search. 

 

**Notifications - when new people are added to this search** - By selecting this box, the system will email you when a new contact or contacts are found that fits the search criteria.  This functionality is also known as a **New Hire Notification.**
